The house is a listed, mellowed red brick symmetrical building. The existing layout on the ground floor was restrictive and out of balance in scale to the upper floors of bedrooms. MRT redressed that balance and provided open family living spaces. A simple glass extension at the north side of the building re-affirms the front and produces a meaningful entrance statement to the property, as a result a good sized entrance hall is created internally. Two similar glazed extensions to the rear of the building produce a family area linked to the kitchen on one side and a sun room/sitting room on the other.
