The building is designed to represent the scale massing and character of a large house in which eight apartments are laid out.
The scheme is composed of a three storey front elevation which faces the corner and the open space of the cricket pitch whilst at the rear, a subservient two storey wing is proposed with a room in the roof space. The scale, form and massing of the building relates to the character of the area in relation to existing substantial Edwardian houses and recently completed developments opposite the site.
