Superb new house progressing well

Work is progressing well at this superb new house situated on the peak of a rolling Warwickshire hill with amazing 360 degree views of the beautiful surrounding scenery.

This Cotswolds inspired home has been lovingly crafted from cut and random stone which is dressed in situ for quality control by a team of experienced skilled masons. The warm glowing façades are complemented with bronze metal windows and doors and a sumptuous oak frame galleried hall with exposed trusses and a magnificent, curved staircase. The design skilfully combines one and two storey wings with living and leisure on one side and quiet bedrooms on the other except for a glorious first floor master bedroom apartment suite with a fabulous outlook.

This replacement dwelling house in the greenbelt is a labour of love slowly but surely rising stone by stone upward and outward above this hallowed Warwickshire knoll.

Warner’s Upton supermarket and fuel station

Warner’s Upton supermarket and fuel station are trading well since opening at Upton on Severn. The MRT design is inspired by the architecture of this historic Riverside town.

The warehouse look is a good and appropriate response as a concept for this Severn side location. The robust brickwork gables and hipped tiled roofs emulate many of the older buildings of the adjacent settlement. The new structure with a clear reference to the past fits in well and is complimentary to this unique setting, enhancing the experience of visitors to the store and the historic town.

Welford on Avon Housing Scheme

MRT architects were engaged by Spitfire Bespoke Homes to create an interesting blend of traditional architectural forms with a twist of contemporary. The scheme now as built  is an intrinsic part of  the historic settlement of Welford on Avon. The houses and large bungalows are an original MRT concept or facade adaptions of the housebuilders range of designs. The landscape planting and open lawn  areas help this edge of village site blend with the open countryside of Warwickshire beyond creating a unique sense of place.

Old farmhouse refurbishment near completion

We are nearing completion of this refurbishment project of an old farmhouse near Stratford-upon-Avon. This gorgeous little cottage was on its last legs when we first came to visit. A Rotting timber roof, mouldy crumbling walls and lots of rising damp. We have given it a new roof, windows, doors, floors, and a complete internal strip out, whilst maintaining it’s important stone features and character.
